Arthur Piza

Piza was born in São Paulo in 1928 and it was there that he began in visual arts through the painter Antônio Gomide. In 1951 he left with his wife to Europe where they held a studio in Paris until his death.. Galeria Tina Zappoli brought the work of Piza for the first time to Porto Alegre in 1989, with his presence. Piza is considered one the greatest Brazilian artists.

He passed away in 2017.
