Fernanda Valadares was born in São Paulo, where she has a bachelors degree from Santa Marcelina College. In 2007, in search of another relationship with time and space, she moved to Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, where she obtained a masters degree in Visual Poetry from the Institute of Arts / UFRGS. Since then, she has had selected works for the 1st Itamaraty Contemporary Art Competition, 64th April / CE Salon and 42nd Contemporary Art Hall Luiz Sacilotto. She participated in several collective exhibitions in the city, and made two individual exhibitions, the first – Museum of Extemporaneous Art – in 2012, through the XIII Goethe Institut Porto Alegre Plastic Arts Competition, and, in 2014, at the exhibition Adega Evaporada, at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rio Grande do Sul. She recently returned to live and work in São Paulo.
