Baviera Alemanha 1882-Porto Alegre Br 1951

At age 38, in the 1920´s he moved to Porto Alegre, Brazil. He graduated  as an engineer  and architect in Germany, having worked extensively there. Here, in Porto Alegre, he worked as an architect and professor at UFRGS. Cultivated man, he always designed and painted for pleasure, refusing to call himself an artist and avoidind exhibitions . But the fact is that he was a visual chronicler of our land and its customs like no other. Today he is celebrated as the great aquarellist of the extreme south of Brazil.
