Arlete Santarosa

A Southern Brazilian engraver, born in 1945 in Bento Gonçalves, RS, she works and lives in Porto Alegre. She has studied from 1970 to 1994 at Atelier Livre de Porto Alegre. Very active artist in her community, she has driven for many times the Núcleo de Gravura do Rio Grande do Sul. For four years , from 2004 to 2007, she was a Contemporary Art Museum Adviser from the State of Rio Grande do Sul. She has a range of works spread in Brazil and abroad . Her last solo show took place at MARGS (Rio Grande do Sul Art Museum) in 2018.
